So what's the catch with preorders?
Preorders are not a scam — but they are more expensive. Here's why: when we go back to source a piece outside of our original batch agreement, we're no longer getting that bulk partnership pricing. We're essentially placing a special order, and that cost gets reflected in the price.
We keep preorders available because we know sometimes life happens — you missed the drop, you were on holiday, your data was acting up. But we'd be doing you a disservice if we didn't tell you upfront: the first batch is always the better deal.
The piece you're eyeing right now? It will not get cheaper. It might not even be available next week. If it's calling your name, that's your sign.
Why we keep quantities small
